Sony PXW-X160 XDCAM Handheld Camcorder dari Sony menawarkan rekaman XAVC 10-bit, 1080p, serta dilengkapi dengan lensa 25x zoom dengan 26mm wide-angle yang sangat ideal untuk berbagai macam aplikasi termasuk siaran profesional, dokumenter dan bekerja siaran langsung. Sony PXW-X160 XDCAM memberikan kualitas dan desain bodi yang sama dengan PXW-X180, fitur GPS dan perekaman proxy untuk memberikan pilihan yang lebih efektif. Tiga sensor 1/3″ Exmor CMOS memberikan noise yang rendah, rentang dinamis yang lebar dan dukungan video 1080p sampai dengan 60 fps menggunakan XAVC Intra dan codec XAVC Panjang GOP.
Sony PXW-X160 XDCAM menawarkan MPEG HD 422, MPEG HD 420, AVCH, dan codec DV untuk masuk ke siaran. Fitur lain dari camcorder ini termasuk 0,5″ OLED viewfinder, dual SxS slot kartu memori, dan variabel yang dikontrol secara elektronik Filter ND.
